November Thanksgiving Thoughts

November Thanksgiving Thoughts

Texas is cooling off and I find myself spending more time outside. I’ve had 2 big crops of peppers and some tasty, wormy tomatoes. I have to cut out them little first responders!

I get so happy this time of year because money flows and folks buy more herbs. It could be the seasonal weather affects all of us so more Immune and viral fighting formulas are needed. Some are gifts for loved ones. It means more folks get healthy.

Are you spending Thanksgiving with your Family? Please send me pictures so I can include them in the newsletter. Some of you I’ve never met in person and I love seeing what my customers, consultants and affiliates are doing. I guess that’s why I love social media. I’m nosy rosy.

I have the privilege of going to my brother, Larry’s house and gathering with his sweet wife Linda and other members of the family that are close enough to attend. They are both great cooks and we all bring stuff to contribute. I’ll try to make a pan of gluten free dressing and take.

If you are looking for some old fashioned southern cooking, you can’t beat my sister’s cookbook “Country CookiN”. Download or order here. You can tell from the wear and tear I have used this book BooKoodles of times. Angie’s dressing recipe is inside and some of Mom’s recipes as well. But Mom typed her own little recipe book available for download as well. It’s adorable and it’s in her language and she tells stories with each recipe.

You all are special to me!

This is my brag corner for my Certified Herbalists.

Over the past 40 years I’ve changed PC’s so many times that many of your names have been lost. But I love when we connect on social media because I can keep up better! Ranessa Hendrix, CH just had back surgery and is doing great. A lot of IF-x helped with the pain. Heather Bell, CH is married to a coach and his son just won some big baseball thingy. Ebone’ Brown is constantly learning and adding credentials to her name. (see right)

It’s been much easier with my new book
“Fun with Herbology” because I custom-made it for the herb course. But some of you struggle to find time.

I want to encourage all you students to keep working. These longer evenings should be perfect to finish and get your certificate! You are:

  •  Marie Gervacio
  • AJ Pollock
  • Tracy Frelot
  • Michael Stallworth

I’m so proud of Valerie Benter. She finished the Herbal course in just a few days. Congratulations!

Don Quai oh the benefits! Pronounced “don kwy,” it is considered the queen of herbs by the Chinese and is China’s most popular herb for women. Chinese physicians use dong quai to enrich the blood, promote circulation, regulate menstruation, calm nerves and soothe the intestines.
