Holidays and Health

Tired of being 'sick and tired?" Healthy lifestyle is a choice

Assortment of colorful pastries on floral and black-rimmed plates, with sprinkles and cinnamon stick.

After all it is the beginning of the Holidays and we don't want to hurt aunt Suzie's feelings....BUT be wise and have self restraint. I once heard a very smart person say, IF you DO choose sweets.  Choose a Bite maybe 2.

Limit your self. Find that 'restraint' within and hang on.

Mr. Google says "Processed sugar is a sweetener extracted from natural sources like sugar cane or beets and then refined, resulting in products like granulated white sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, and other additives. It is often added to processed foods and drinks and is associated with negative health outcomes when consumed in excess, including an increased risk of weight gain, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. "

Chronic disease? Negative health? Calling my number, yes they were.

For many years I had, The Allergy.

I never wanted to admit it was from my indulgence...

Between Christmas and New Years, I would wheeze; sneeze; have trouble breathing; and my daddy would get so concerned, he would go to prayer! I probably had Walking Pneumonia, or Bronchitis.

I would even put a hot onion poultice in an old rag, and live with it on my chest, swapping out the warm rag, until it broke up the mucous. I had a way of stinking up the whole house, even tho I normally was in the tub!

But once upon a time............ I was introduced to herbs and supplemental nutrition.

LORD knows, I wasn't eating healthy, so his Wisdom led me to herbs, which,  being concentrated food, SUPPORTS the organs and the body to utilize what nutrients we put in. Ha!! That's the key. PUT THEM IN.

brown bottle with pretty label of seasonal allergy

I have become friends with SEASONAL ALLERGY, and make it a point in SEPTEMBER to take 3 with my morning herbs and 3 with my night time ones.

I also add 3 mullein each time as well.

I always add something to support my immunity and make it stronger so I take Natures Sunshine High Potency Garlic

Last but not least I normally add VSC concentrated.

It is a little more expensive, but as you can see the hand full I take; needs all the help it can get with the concentrated form.

Thankfully, I have not been sick longer than 24 hours, since I've began this regime.

Everyone is different; so what works for me, may not work for you, but isn't it worth the try?

The holidays are almost here, and if you’re feeling frazzled, you’re not alone! Shopping, baking, hosting parties – it’s enough to put even the merriest elf on edge.

When your holiday to-do list is more naughty than nice, bring some zen into the season with Nature’s Sunshine Stress-J liquid.

Liquid form seems to be a favorite with children as well as adults. It has very calming ingredients:

Passionflower has calmed cultures from ancient Aztecs to 16th century European explorers.

Feverfew’s stress-relieving reputation spans from the sunny Balkans to today’s herbal medicine.

Hops has supported feelings of anxiousness since its 16th century roots in German beer brewing.

Chamomile continues to be a top choice for unwinding, with over a million cups of tea consumed daily.

The unique formulation of these time-tested plants is specially blended in Stress-J.

Also comes in capsules for your convenience.
