Nella's Notes for December 2022

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2023

a toy car with a christmas tree on top of it .

Are you all caught up for Christmas? I know this is a super busy time for us all and I'm behind on my newsletter and Christmas Cards I try to sign for each of you. I do have some reasons for the delay.

I hurt my knee about a month ago and for the first time in my life I've had consistent long term pain. I now have more sympathy for those who suffer daily. It can wear you down. Or it did me. Plus it put me in granny gear so I've moved at a snails pace. Medicaid did supply a lady to come help me. She helped take care of Mom so I knew her and trust her which really helps with anxiety. She's been a God send for sure. Ruthie comes and helps me get dressed, helps with cleaning the juicer (still working beautifully Bro. Duane!) sweeps and mops and has helped me decorate the house and outside with pretty lights.

It gives me such joy to look around and see beauty and old things (most of the decorations are 40 years old) and remember so many wonderful times I had with Angie in the past. We were able to travel to 45 states and 7 countries if I'm not mistaken. We met God's people all over and was blessed to see many hearts won for the Kingdom of God. I've lived such a blessed life and you Faithful supporters remind me daily how blessed I still am. Every morning when I sit outside and have my Love and Praise time with Jesus, I tell him how wonderful you all are and ask him to bless you all.

I've never had my electricity cut off before and was so embarrassed but God sent angels to help me get it turned on again. Every crisis has been met, even the physical pain thing and He promised to ride the "rapids" with me. I'm walking better on the outside and on the inside. Jesus touches you and you can't stay the same. It's beautiful to grow in Grace. It's wonderful our Creator cares so much for each of us. I'm so glad Jesus paid the price so I could re-connect with the Father. Don't it make you want to rejoice and love Christmas?

the hendrix trio

I'm so proud of the Hendrix Trio. They've got new pictures. Ranessa is doing so well after back surgery she's traveling and singing again! They sang at one of my favorite churches "LouElla Baptist Church" a church who came to our rescue when our home burned. I caught a live stream of their singing and I was so touched by the testimonies and singing. No wonder everybody loves this group.

They have a gift of praying for the sick and see not only hearts healed but bodies as well. PTL!

December's Agenda

Since I have all Christmas decorations put up except my new tree Hendrix bought me, Ruthie and I will turn our attention to making Christmas goodies for the "thank you bags" I give out every year. They go to the food banks who supply me with goodies all year, my sweet banker, mail lady, trash pick up people, Library helpers, Kangen water supplier, and anyone who comes to see me. I love giving these out at the first of December. If I wait too long, everyone has their fill of sugar already. Hehe.

Then I'll start preparing for the Big Event. My niece Kenzie Jenkins and her husband Tommy had their sweet little baby Clara. My nephew Landon Jenkins, who is stationed in Japan is home for a few weeks and always in our prayers. I wish I could be there, but things just didn't work out. But I'm there in spirit!

I'm proud to have family in the military. I love this nation, warts and all. I pray for our leaders every day and hope things will get better and better but I've put it all in God's hands.

Don Quai oh the benefits! Pronounced “don kwy,” it is considered the queen of herbs by the Chinese and is China’s most popular herb for women. Chinese physicians use dong quai to enrich the blood, promote circulation, regulate menstruation, calm nerves and soothe the intestines.
