Nella Jenkins has been teaching classes for over 20 years.  

She is a manager for Nature’s Sunshine Products and has managed different health food stores.  She received her Naturopathic Doctor, Master Herbalist, and Master Iridology degrees from Clayton College of Natural Health, Birmingham, AL.

Nella went on and received her Certified Foot Reflexology certification from Terry Dutton, PT and Lucille Eagle, R.M.T.C.I. She also received her certified herbology degree from Karen Utter CNHP, CCH, CH, MH, Jim Jenks CH, Jack Ritchison, ND, DC. and she achieved the “Alfalfa Award” the highest grade in her first class. 

Over the years, Nella has also taught classes at Grapevine Independent School District in Grapevine, TX. She has owned and operated Lil Bit of Sunshine, an herbal and educational institution, since 1981, been a manager with Nature’s Sunshine Products since 1982.

In the past two years Nella has beat uterine cancer using prayer, faith, Gerson therapy and herbs without the help of drugs, surgery, chemo, or radiation. "I am a country girl at heart and I love to camp out, work in the yard, mow, and plant flowers." One of her highlights is picking organic produce from her garden box that she built in Aurora, TX. She also loves to read and watch YouTube videos about health.​

Following her education and personal experience Nella is an avid herb taker  and has been for almost forty years. She has never used prescriptions or medication to solve a health problem.  Prayer, a healthy lifestyle, and herbs have solved nearly every physical problem she has encountered so far.

" I pray for wisdom and guidance to help people with healing herb programs and feels Jesus has always answered my prayers. Even if the answer was “look it up!”​

Along with her many attributes Nella has  authored several books, including an Inspirational book Take Time to Smell the Roses which includes many Christian professional poems that were published, a Christian western murder mystery short book Arizona Apprehended about a cowboy turned preacher who found love, Fun With Herbology a text book for the certified herb course, and a true bio of how I over came Grief and Loss call​ed Miracles From Ashes.

At the moment, Nella is currently working on a book about  overcoming cancer with natural alternatives.
